In Fall 2024, Chamber Music Cincinnati launches its 95th season as the America’s fifth oldest chamber music series. Each season, it presents one of the five string quartet ensembles still active on the BBC’s “Greatest String Quartet Ensembles of All Time” list, others of equal stature, exciting young rising-star ensembles, leading Black and Brown chamber artists, and works by an exceptionally broad range of composers living and dead.

Our principal goal is to give chamber music lovers and those newer to this music, young and old, the finest possible experiences across the vast and still expanding chamber music repertoire. Equally important we actively work to support talented young chamber musicians as they move from elementary, middle, and high school to conservatories, concert stages, or audiences. In both areas, we recognize artists from backgrounds historically under-represented in classical music.

Our series is lead by a deeply committed board of directors that is 50% people of color and ranges from two PhD musicologists to two experienced business executives with deep experience in the performing arts. None of what we do would be possible without the truly generous support of donors large and small, who give unstintingly to support our efforts, asking only that we do the very best we can with their largest large and small.
