Michelle Cann

Pianist Michelle Cann made her orchestral debut at 14. She performed the New York City premiere of the Concerto in One Movement by Florence Price in 2016, and its Philadelphia and Cincinnati premieres in 2021. The CSO named her it’s 2021 MAC Music Innovator as an African-American classical musician who embodies artistry, innovation, and a commitment to education and community engagement. She has served as director of two children's choruses in the El Sistema-inspired program Play On Philly! and joined the Curtis Institute’s piano faculty in 2020.
