“Make no mistake, Goosby is a virtuoso.”
– Gramophone
Randall Goosby, violin | Jeremiah Blacklow, violin | Jameel Martin, viola | Daniel Hass, cello
Violinist Randall Goosby is known to most Americans who love classical music. At only 29 (on July 6), he has performed with major orchestras the world over, including the Berlin Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony, Cincinnati Symphony, and Los Angeles Philharmonic among many during the 2024–25 season. Goosby has played chamber concerts with his duo partner, pianist Zhu Wang, in major cities including on CMC’s series in Spring 2024. Goosby has been acclaimed by no less than Gramophone, the world’s leading classical music publication, as “looking back to a golden age of violin greats.”
What many people don’t yet know is that Goosby is also a member of the Renaissance String Quartet, who met at Itzhak Perlman’s summer program on New York’s Shelter Island prior to attending Juilliard.
Jeremiah Blacklow began studying the violin at three. As soloist and chamber musician, he has performed at major cultural centers, including Carnegie Hall, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Neue Galerie.
Violist Jameel Martin has performed as a soloist with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and for audiences in Austria, China, Canada, Germany, Israel, and across the United States.
Daniel Hass, an Israeli-Canadian cellist, made his solo debut with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra at 15. He, too, has appeared with orchestras across North America including at Carnegie Hall. As recitalist and chamber musician, Hass has performed in Amsterdam, Lisbon, Tel Aviv, Budapest, Montreal, and across the U.S. and Canada.
